Know Love, Excellence, Lovingkindness

Know Love, Excellence, Lovingkindness. Turn away from evil (sin, disobedience to Elohim’s law, wickedness , etc.).

Call upon Elohim in the name of Jesus—He Who only can and will deliver the soul who is daily surrendered to His will—dying daily, taking up one’s own cross and following Christ. He is in the Holiest of Holies. Are you there with Him today, each day He awakens you? Go to Him.

“O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; And thy righteousness to the upright in heart.”

“The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, That there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath left off to be wise, and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; Thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!

Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; And thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.

O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; And thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked remove me. There are the workers of iniquity fallen: They are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭36‬:‭1‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Ministry of Healing

The Worker’s Need (Part 22)

Chapter 43—A Higher Experience (Part 6)

Now the church is militant. Now we are confronted with a world in darkness, almost wholly given over to idolatry.

“Abide in Me”

Christ bids us: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me…. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing…. If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.

“As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love….

“Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.” John 15:4-16

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

“To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” Revelation 2:17

“He that overcometh, … I will give him the Morning Star,” “and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God: … and I will write upon him My new name.” Verses 26-283:12

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You that we can always depend on You for all things. Please bless us to not lean on humanity for what we must trust only to You. Thank You for the assurance of Your Holy Spirit to work within us to reflect the love and character and courage and faith of Jesus Christ. Please bless us to be men and women of prayer. Please bless us so that our petitions will not be faint, occasional, and fitful, but earnest, persevering, and constant. Please bless us to wholly surrender your will and way to You,  without making a single reserve or a single compromise with self. Please bless us to know what it is to be free in Christ. Please bless us to have a communion with You that will ennoble our character and life—one that will move men to take knowledge of us, as of the first disciples, that we have been with Jesus. We desire that we might have the mind of Christ to save souls and enjoy His experience of perfect obedience to Your will that we might one day soon stand in Thy glorious presence without fear of death. Thank You, because we ask it in the Awesome and Almighty name of Your Son, Jesus, our Saving King. Amen.

NOTE: These began as daily texts to encourage my academy roommate and dear friend of nearly 50 years, until she suddenly passed March 2023. Now I continue to compile and send them to anyone who will receive them and to her family in honor of their mom. Lately, I have begun featuring consecutive chapter portions of a select Bible-based book.
If you agree to continue receiving them, then this is my personal gift to you; and in this way, I not only honor God but the memory of a very dear friend whom I desperately miss.
My personal prayer is that God will bless me to find ways to multiply this gift, so that we all may be encouraged to be found faithful in the sight of a Holy God, whenever Christ returns or our eyes are shut in the sleep of death.
It is a prayerful process that leads me to share from my personal study.
So please feel free to forward to your loved ones or to anyone, as God leads you. I’m calling them Barb’s Devotionals.

There is distinct differences

Daily choose what or which you will be: whose you will be.

“The desire of the righteous is only good: But the expectation of the wicked is wrath.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬

“He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: But a false witness deceit. There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: But the tongue of the wise is health.

The lip of truth shall be established for ever: But a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: But to the counsellors of peace is joy.

There shall no evil happen to the just: But the wicked shall be filled with mischief. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: But they that deal truly are his delight.

A prudent man concealeth knowledge: But the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: But the slothful shall be under tribute.

The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor: But the way of the wicked seduceth them.

In the way of righteousness is life; And in the pathway thereof there is no death.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭17‬-‭24‬, ‭26‬, ‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: But wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

The light of the righteous rejoiceth: But the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: But he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

The law of the wise is a fountain of life, To depart from the snares of death. Good understanding giveth favour: But the way of transgressors is hard.

A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: But a faithful ambassador is health.

The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: But it is abomination to fools to depart from evil. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: But a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Evil pursueth sinners: But to the righteous good shall be repaid.

The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: But the belly of the wicked shall want.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭6‬, ‭9‬, ‭13‬-‭15‬, ‭17‬, ‭19‬-‭21‬, ‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: And a good man shall be satisfied from himself.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.14.14.KJV

“He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: And a man of wicked devices is hated.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.14.17.KJV

“A true witness delivereth souls: But a deceitful witness speaketh lies.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14‬:‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: But the prayer of the upright is his delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.15.8-9.KJV

“Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: And he that hateth reproof shall die.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: But a man of understanding walketh uprightly. Without counsel purposes are disappointed: But in the multitude of counsellors they are established. The way of life is above to the wise, That he may depart from hell beneath. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: But the words of the pure are pleasant words. The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭21‬-‭22‬, ‭24‬, ‭26‬, ‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The LORD is far from the wicked: But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Know this! Beware

“A foolish woman is clamorous: She is simple, and knoweth nothing. For she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city, To call passengers Who go right on their ways: Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: And as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, Stolen waters are sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

But he knoweth not that the dead are there; And that her guests are in the depths of hell.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬-‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Be confident, and of good courage

Know! Not think.

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, They stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up, Above mine enemies round about me: Therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; Put not thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; Leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take me up. Teach me thy way, O LORD, And lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: For false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, Unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27‬:‭1‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Ministry of Healing

The Worker’s Need (Part 22)

Chapter 43—A Higher Experience (Part 6)

Now the church is militant. Now we are confronted with a world in darkness, almost wholly given over to idolatry.

Consecration; Trust

When we are humble and contrite we stand where God can and will manifest Himself to us. He is well pleased when we urge past mercies and blessings as a reason why He should bestow on us greater blessings. He will more than fulfill the expectations of those who trust fully in Him. The Lord Jesus knows just what His children need, how much divine power we will appropriate for the blessing of humanity; and He bestows upon us all that we will employ in blessing others and ennobling our own souls.

We must have less trust in what we ourselves can do, and more trust in what the Lord can do for and through us. You are not engaged in your own work; you are doing the work of God. Surrender your will and way to Him. Make not a single reserve, not a single compromise with self. Know what it is to be free in Christ.

The mere hearing of sermons Sabbath after Sabbath, the reading of the Bible through and through, or the explanation of it verse by verse, will not benefit us or those who hear us, unless we bring the truths of the Bible into our individual experience. The understanding, the will, the affections, must be yielded to the control of the word of God. Then through the work of the Holy Spirit the precepts of the word will become the principles of the life.

As you ask the Lord to help you, honor your Saviour by believing that you do receive His blessing. All power, all wisdom, are at our command. We have only to ask.

Walk continually in the light of God. Meditate day and night upon His character. Then you will see His beauty and rejoice in His goodness. Your heart will glow with a sense of His love. You will be uplifted as if borne by everlasting arms. With the power and light that God imparts, you can comprehend more and accomplish more than you ever before deemed possible.

Only the faithful and converted

This runs deep and broad.

“submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬-‭30‬ ‭KJV‬‬
