Don’t get it twisted!

It is not about being saved by works.

No true Bible-based Christian believes that. There is no such process for salvation. No one can gain Heaven simply by human effort. Salvation is a gift from God that may be accepted or refused.

It is deliverance from sin. It is being saved from the wages of sin: death. Don’t get it twisted. It is not being saved in sin. One cannot be delivered from sin, while choosing to remain in sin. Let that marinate.

The gospel of Christ (“The good news”) is the Power of God (Grace of God) unto salvation.

Those who are children of the Day are children of the Light. They understand. They have accepted God’s gift of salvation. It is a 3-in-1 packaged gift that involves a step-by-step process: justification by faith, righteousness by faith, sanctification by faith unto glorification by God.

It is a lifestyle that does not take a lifetime to settle into. But is a lifestyle that must be lived for the remainder of one’s life by choice. By faith one chooses to die daily, to take up their cross, and follow Christ.

Daily it is being covered with Christ’s righteousness. Daily it is bearing the fruit (all nine parts) of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22, 23). The Holy Spirit working in the soul is what causes both the will and the power to do God’s good pleasure.

One’s faith ignites the Spirit of God to work with power (grace) in the soul. Faith produces God’s good works. Faith without works is dead. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus, the hope of glory.

Those covered with the righteousness of Christ by their faith daily hear and do the will of God. He lives in us and through us by the Holy Spirit. This power (God’s grace) is that by which we are saved through faith.

That same faith is the faith of Jesus.
