The Dead Know Nothing!

“Ye shall not surely die.”

Do you know that is a lie? It is the first lie recorded in the Bible that Satan told in the garden of Eden. Read Genesis 3:4 (KJV).

Still, man believes it, even though God makes it clear in His Word that the dead knows nothing. Man disregards God, essentially saying that God’s Word is not true. God, the Creator and Redeemer, many call a liar, while at the same time calling on His name when in need.

Man wants the dead to be in heaven, regardless of the life they led. That includes even those who chose to take the life of another and end up dying in the act, as well as those who committed suicide. The masses have been deceived this way, doubtless in many cases, because no one wants to think of a loved one being anywhere else but in heaven in death.

How we each live life is a choice. God, who knows the end from the beginning, is just and therefore, loves us enough to allow everyone choices. The consequences result in blessings or curses. Whether unto life or death, God knows all.

God’s word is clear, hear what He says is the state of the dead.

Isaiah 38:18
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Psalm 6:5
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Psalm 30:9
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Isaiah 26:14
They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

2Samuel 12: 22-23 22 ¶ And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live? 23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Job 7:9-10 KJV
9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. 10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more. …

Psalm 88:10-11 KJV
[10] Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. [11] Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?

Psalm 115:17
The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
[5] For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. [6] Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Be not deceived. Do not continue to believe the lie. Repent and be converted.
