The change must come: Restored

Are we married to Christ? Does the marriage need to be restored?

Restoration in the marriage relationship to God will restore the single soul, as well as the couple—male and female—joined in marriage by God.

Our restoration by the working power, strength, and indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a true documentary of the soul changed.

The carnal flesh cannot change. It cannot put off anything. The carnal flesh can only come to the realization that change, even complete restoration is needed. Therefore, just choose to change.

This means choosing to give up, to surrender self to God. It means to let go the controls and let God lead.

You may have loved living you, doing as you willed: partying, drinking, smoking cigars/weed/cigarettes, vaping, dancing, hanging out, talking about others (gossiping), concerning one’s self with what others are doing, including being in others’ business in which you have none. You may have loved eating whatever, whenever, however you wanted, and worshiping when, where, and how you wanted to, and if you wanted to. You may have gotten a thrill from telling lies to get benefits. You may have loved starting mess, spreading lies through not knowing the truth nor seeking the truth. You may even have loved being half-dressed or tattooed up, down, over, and across. You may have been totally ignorant of God’s will in these choices. You may have not even acknowledged God. Maybe you had no clue. Thankfully, God winks at such choices; for you had no knowledge of not being in harmony with God’s will. But once you know, when the knowledge comes, and is even in reach, God then holds you accountable.

But when you come to know God, you will love God. You will abide in Christ and be led, taught and transformed by the Holy Ghost. You will see that you now hate what you once loved. You choose to answer God’s call. The old is put off and put away. All things become new. You no longer live after the flesh. Being a new creature, you live in the Spirit. You walk after the Spirit. The Spirit of God dwells in you and works in you, both to will and to do God’s good pleasure.

We choose to put off the old man “old person” and put on the “new person.” The new person is created with a new mind through the working power and indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4:17-32 KJV

[17] This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, [18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: [19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

[20] But ye have not so learned Christ; [21] If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

[22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; [23] And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; [24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

[25] Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. [26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: [27] Neither give place to the devil. [28] Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

[29] Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. [30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. [31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: [32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 KJV
[9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. [11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

[12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. [13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. [15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. [16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Romans 8:5-14 KJV
[5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. [11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. [12] Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. [13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. [14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
