Did you know? Have you heard?

Malachi 2:11-16 KJV
[11] Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. [12] The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts.

[13] And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand. [14] Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

[15] And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. [16] For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

Did you know? Have you ever heard this before? Come on! God has left nothing out! Nothing! Okay. Let us break this down.

First, let us know this:

Genesis 2:21-24 KJV
[21] And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; [22] And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. [23] And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Matthew 19:4-6 KJV
[4] And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, [5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? [6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (See also Mark 10:6-9; and Ephesians 5:31.)

We know that the true marriage—that which is blessed, sanctified, made holy by God—is this: one male and one female that God has joined together. God said He is holy and that we are to be holy. Only one male and one female, which God has made holy, can be united in a covenant with God and one another in the holy bond of marriage. However, Satan has many counterfeit marriages.

That union between Christ and His church, God equates with marriage between His chosen male and female. The male and female that God has joined and ordained as one, no one is to put asunder. No one. Period.

God is in the Saving Souls business. And because marriage is self-sacrificing, God uses marriage in His plan of salvation.

The male and female are to please one another, not self, as God’s children by faith please God. As such, God uses marriage in perfecting our characters as He restores us unto His image. As God is increasingly reflected in the holy male and female, letting Light shine through them, they minister to others. In this way, they help build the kingdom of God.

Read and study through Ephesians 5! The husband (male) is to be a savior to his wife. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves His church and laid down His life for her. The husband is to be everything to his wife that Christ is to His church. He is to provide for her, take care of her, minister to her, have self-sacrificing love for her, protect her, and protect her reputation shutting down mess not putting her in mess. He is to fight for her letting no one disrespect her, etc. The wife has a problem, her husband fixes it…

God did not go to the woman (female- Eve) first after they sinned; He did not even go to the serpent first nor second, but last. God went to Adam first. In every account of transgression, God goes to the man (male). The husband (male) is the head of the house… He governs it as God governs us. The male (husband) orders his house in the word of God. He is as the priest.

The wife (female) is to reverence her husband, honor him. A converted houseband (male) receives the promised blessings and love of God in and through his wife (female). She is everything to her houseband. She sees God in him and therefore, she loves him with the love of God. She is submissive unto him as in the Lord.

The female (wife) is the male’s (husband’s) helpmeet. She is the virtuous woman. She is God’s gift to the male (husband). God says he has found a good thing and has favor with God.

When God joins the male and female, they have not been perfected, yet. But they have been joined by God for that perfecting process. He puts two opposites (male and female) together to make the sacred pair of one flesh. Being two separate persons, yet they are one mind in the Lord.

However, when mankind chooses to take things into their own hands, live their own ways, deny God, disregard God, do as they please, yet label their marriage blessed of God, these are deceived. These are deluded and confused. God has no part in such “marriages,” no matter what mankind accounts to Him.

Those who are not surrendered to God are unconverted. They are not seeing eye to eye. Instead, they are listening to others. They are allowing outsiders inside the sacred union or circle, where only the Godhead, husband, and wife belong. When they choose to separate (whether only one or both agree), this is putting asunder what God has joined together.

But see, God ain’t playin’! Yes I said ain’t and playin’! Marriage is to be a reflection of the Godhead, and is a powerful tool God uses in saving souls. We are messing around with holy things of God. We best be very careful and avoid dealing treacherously. You who do are on dangerous ground. You hinder your own prayers. Your prayers are even an abomination to God. You think He hears you? He does not. He does not even accept your sacrifice.

”The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight” (Proverbs 15:8).

Remember the fingers that wrote on the wall when Belshazzar profaned the holy vessels of God? The holy pair in marriage are God’s holy vessels.

If by God a male and female were joined in holy marriage and one turned away, that one is not being the spouse God called him or her to be. Warning! Do not be weighed in the balance and be found wanting.

Repent and be converted that your sins be blotted out. Be born again.

And do not become discouraged about past mistakes. God will work all things together for good to them that love Him, to the called according to His purpose. Be not deceived. Cry out to God. Fight the good fight of faith.

Pray for your spouse. Pray for yourself. Know who you are. Know your role. And know who you belong to. Know God. Know His voice. Hearken unto His voice and follow Him, that is, if God in Heaven is truly the God you serve.
