Whether we have gone astray or not. Affliction is allowed that the soul see their way to, their way back The King. Affliction is allowed to refine us—“before I was afflicted I went astray” “but now I have kept thy word”… Affliction is allowed that we may choose to exercise the measure of faith Elohim has already given and return to Him, to be changed by Him, converted—that He may increase our faith unto giving us the faith of Yeshuah Christ—we endure unto the end and be saved.
“Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge: For I have believed thy commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray: But now have I kept thy word.”
