They who did not die in Christ; and the wicked who die at the brightness of Christ return will be raised in the last resurrection—these are the wicked, the sinners who chose not to receive complete victory over sin that Christ death and resurrection gave us: They will not burn forever, no. And not even Satan will burn forever. The Word tells us the truth that they who do wickedly (they who sin) shall be stubble, burned up; the wicked shall be ashes beneath the soles of our feet—Stubble, being burned up and ashes is not persons burning forever.

“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.”
