What, How? Hear the Word:
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. We do it to obtain an incorruptible crown.
We that strive to obtain this incorruptible crown must be temperate in all things.
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

I pray you surrender to Elohim dying daily, crucifying the flesh daily and choose not to crucify Christ afresh. I pray you be filled with the Holy Spirit that you have all you need to get and to be ready for what is to come, and to meet Jesus Christ face to face—being temperate in all things, striving daily to continue to run this race to obtain the incorruptible crown.
