“Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.”
2 Corinthians 7:9-11 KJV
True change doesn’t begin with outward reform. True change and actually it is true reform—it is a rebirth and this begins in the mind (heart). This begins with total complete surrender of self, self-will to God’s will every single day—confession and true godly sorrow which brings about repentance. God’s repentance we have received, we turn away from sin, have His perfect hatred for sin. Then God converts us, we become changed. He puts His Spirit in us and His Spirit causes us to live His righteousness having Christ mind in us. Then the outward reform shows up, takes place as a result of conversion, rebirth, the new creature born inside. This conversion should ideally take place before baptism. But instead in many cases people are baptized even being full of demons.
Self can choose. Yes. But, if the soul as not surrendered wholly one’s own will to the will of Elohim; and the mind filled with Christ Jesus; if there has been no confession, no true godly repentance: The Holy Spirit cannot and will not create in us a new heart (mind), we cannot be and won’t be changed, reborn, nor filled with the Holy Spirit.
We can be baptized, praying every single day and night, doing right in our life but yet and still be lost—who is the soul truly praying to? By whom are they really living by, who are they really yielding themselves to, obeying? Many are demon possessed and professing Christ yet living under Satan in his realm because of those sins, things, people they are deceived by, not letting go of, not giving them up to God; deceived thinking it is ok thinking “God knows my heart”.
How can this be, one may ask. There has been no true godly sorrow which brings God’s gift of repentance.
We must be cleansed, cleaned out of all darkness that Light may dwell within. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Forgiveness is not repentance. Without repentance, no sin will be blotted out. The soul will not and cannot be converted by God because He will not override one’s choices. Sin will remain. Think about that.
We will not be sinning until Jesus returns. That is a lie from Satan to keep us in bondage, keep us servants to sin. Remember why Jesus Christ was sent in the first place. He was born as a man (He lived being 100% man and 100 % divinity). He was tempted in all points just as we are. He suffered and bled and died. He was resurrected. All was for us an example that we too can have victory over sin, over the second death because Christ paid that penalty for us, and gave us access to The Holy Spirit that we have the same Power He did, that we have His faith and we will too live victoriously over temptation not giving in to Satan, have victory over sin.
Souls are living contrary to God’s Word, yet believing that one’s belief in Jesus is all the faith or trust needed. No! When we have the faith of Jesus we obey Him, we live by His every Word. We are hearers and doers of His Word. We live in a state of His repentance turning away from sin, deciding in thought word and action that “I will not sin against my Holy Father in Jesus name”. We daily die that Jesus Christ lives in us, through us.
“For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”
Ezekiel 36:24-27 KJV
It’s Christ in us through His Spirit that we live His righteousness.
Repent and be converted that your sins be blotted out, and you be born again.
HalleluYah
