Chapter 35—A True Knowledge of God
Nature Is Not God
God’s handiwork in nature is not God Himself in nature. The things of nature are an expression of God’s character and power; but we are not to regard nature as God. The artistic skill of human beings produces very beautiful workmanship, things that delight the eye, and these things reveal to us something of the thought of the designer; but the thing made is not the maker. It is not the work, but the workman, that is counted worthy of honor. So while nature is an expression of God’s thought, it is not nature, but the God of nature, that is to be exalted.
“Let us worship and bow down:
Let us kneel before the Lord.”
“In His hand are the deep places of the earth;
The heights of the mountains are His also.
The sea is His, and He made it;

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for life in nature. Please bless us to become intimately acquainted with Your through the study of nature and Your Word, the foundation of all true education, that we might be guided by Your will for our lives. Thank You because we ask it in the Awesome and Almighty name of Your Son, Jesus, our Saving King. Amen.

NOTE: These began as daily texts to encourage my academy roommate and dear friend of nearly 50 years, until she suddenly passed March 2023. Now I continue to compile and send them to anyone who will receive them and to her family in honor of their mom.
Lately, I have begun featuring consecutive chapter portions of a select Bible-based book.
