Battle over the heart/mind!
■ Sin begins in the mind well before it is carried out as an action.

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
■ Carrying out the sinful action in the heart/mind = transgression.
Thus necessitating the need for a new heart and mind where His law can be written.
Ezekiel 18:31
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Jeremiah 31:33
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

A thought planted, and thought carried out in the mind with wilful consent are two different scenarios. Satan can speak to the subconscious mind, but he cannot coerce the will to yield. Every thought satan seeks to plant in our mind we are to uproot by prayer and the mighty cleaver of truth, which is the WORD!
