Grieve not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Sealer—Without the Holy Spirit, one cannot have the mind of Christ, cannot have His faith, cannot have His righteousness—cannot have the Agape (Love) of God—cannot and will not obey God; will not be sealed with His character.
Jesus is the way to God the Father, and by Jesus we are saved (delivered from sin). But first, it is the Holy Spirit Who leads us to Jesus; who guides us into all truth, who gives us understanding; who gives us both the will and to do God’s good pleasure. The Holy Spirit is who works in us, is by Whom God restores us unto His image after His likeness.
“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
Ephesians 4:30 KJV
It be wise we watch our steps.
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:16 KJV
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
Romans 8:14-17 KJV
One’s next breath is not promised. If the Holy Spirit is departed from the soul because of one’s choices in their living: They are dead even though they may be alive.
“But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: All they that hate me love death.”
Proverbs 8:36 KJV
