Faith and Breath
“The just shall live by faith.” Rom. 1:17. That means that your whole life will be faith, as the Apostle Paul said, “The life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Gal. 2:20. Faith is not a thing of a moment; if you believe a thing today, and are in doubt about it tomorrow, you don’t have faith. Faith is continuous; it is an everlasting foundation. You live by breathing. You cannot live by breathing one day, and ceasing to breathe the next day. As soon as you cease to breathe, you cease to live. So it is with faith; when your faith ceases, your righteous life ceases. If you exercise faith as often and as long as you breathe, you will be righteous as long as you live.
