There can be no reconciliation without receiving, having God’s gift of repentance. Forgiveness, repentance, conversion cannot be separated from one another. There must be all three for there to be reconciliation. Do not forget in all our living, the just live by faith. By faith we please God, we hear and do His word. By faith, we forgive, repent, therefore we are converted: We are reconciled to God, one to another in Christ.
The first to know is that there is no forgiveness from God if a soul sins against the Holy Spirit. This example is in the Holy Scriptures below, note the sin against the Holy Spirit— “because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.”
We must have God’s discernment period, especially in relation to dealing with others. Don’t call an anointed child of God the devil, or say their spirit is of the devil: No matter how many times you seek forgiveness, there is none. Be careful, be mindful to consciously by faith surrender to God daily, moment by moment choosing to stay connected to God, and seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit that our thoughts, our words, our actions, our living will be in God’s perfect will being led of the Holy Spirit.
“And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.”
Mark 3:23-30 KJV
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”
Matthew 12:30-37 KJV
We best be careful to examine ourselves by the word of God, that we stay surrendered to Him, be filled with the Holy Spirit and not put our mouths to speak lies bearing false witness against God’s anointed, His little children. Best not mess with God’s little children. We who are God’s little children belong to God, we are saved of Him, we enter His kingdom: If we have acknowledged, confessing all sin, and we repent, we shall be converted—we shall be changed of Him, restored unto the image of God, after His likeness in these days; We are new creatures in Christ. We have the righteousness of Christ. We shall be sealed unto His second coming.
Matthew 18:3-7 KJV
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.”
Acts 26:16-20 KJV
There is no forgiveness from God if we do not confess. We, the righteous of God, we the saints of God are to intercede in prayer to God for His forgiveness to others who cannot get a prayer through to God because of their disobedience—hatred toward God. They want to live their own ways and be called by the name of the Lord—but this is a delusion, this cannot be.
Below, Daniel seeks God in prayer for forgiveness and forgiveness of his people. He also prays that they turn away from their iniquities and understand truth. God hears Daniel, answering his prayer.
“O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.”
Daniel 9:7-11, 13-14, 19-27 KJV
We must seek God in sincerity, and truth.
Psalm 130:1-7 KJV
“Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.”
Confess all sin to God. Sins not acknowledged and confessed cannot be forgiven. God will bring to our remembrance only that we know sin, confess, turn away from all sin. He will forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Our sins are covered by Christ blood—they are only blotted out if we truly repent of them receiving God’s gift of repentance—true godly sorrow, perfect hatred for sin. If we have Christ righteousness, there is no unrighteousness, we have no self-righteousness —our righteousness is of God says the Lord our God.
The converted are forgiven. When the soul is converted, they live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God; they seek and desire to live only God’s will—His word. The converted hear and do God’s word. The converted love their enemies forgiving them, praying for God’s forgiveness of their sins, for their eternal salvation that they may be made whole. They help them if God so leads them, equips, gives them means to. Yet, there can be no reconciliation to the soul who will not receive God’s gift of repentance.
Let us not forget, we are forgiven of God as we forgive others. If we do not forgive, God will not forgive us.
Sadly, many will not give up their will to the will of God. They will not acknowledge, confess their sins, nor repent of them and because they are not converted, there can be no reconciliation to God not to others that they have wronged sinning against God.
“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
1 John 1:6-10 KJV
“I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.”
Psalm 32:5 KJV
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
Proverbs 28:13 KJV
“And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.”
Mark 4:10-13, 15 KJV
2 Corinthians 2:7-11 KJV
So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
Galatians 6:1-10 KJV
“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:25-32 KJV
Without the turning away from sin being truly sorrowful having godly sorrow; there will be no conversion. If the soul is not converted of God by the Holy Spirit; there is no reconciliation to God nor to others the soul has wronged. Within repentance there is also restitution —as far as possible, making wrongs, right. Let us go to souls, tell them we forgive them that they may acknowledge sin, confess to God and truly repent.
“And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”
Acts 3:17-21 KJV
Acts 26:20 KJV
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
What is this “do works meet for repentance”? We live by God’s word, loving Him we obey Him, obey His commandments, His law. They are a delight to us, and not grievous to us. They are not a burden. We are changed by God, restored unto His image bearing His fruit in character in every aspect of our living life that He gives to us.
“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”
Matthew 3:8-10 KJV
Luke 3:8 KJV
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
2 Corinthians 7:9-11 KJV
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
2 Samuel 12:13-14 KJV
And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. [14] Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
What great consequence David’s sin brought. But because he received God’s repentance, had godly sorrow, David was not lost but forgiven, and was changed—converted. Read on studying through reference to David’s conversion to this end:
1 Kings 15:5 KJV
Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
Because David repented having God’s repentance —true godly sorrow, and he turned away from sin and to God: God not only forgave and covered David’s sin; but also blotted them out of the record. So God will do for us. When He comes to our name, He shall see Christ His son in everything concerning us. Keep in mind, this was accounted unto David before Christ died on the cross and resurrected.
HalleluYah!
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-19 KJV
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Acts 2:38-47 KJV
There are enough Holy Scriptures to begin studying on your own that you know “Thus faith the Lord”.
Be not deceived. God bless you His Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth.
