He gave us Sabbath

Sabbath (seventh) is blessed, and holy. God gave His people, us His holy Sabbath, His holy presence—in the seventh day, that He may dwell among us.

When I previously wrote that Sabbath is who God is, I was, am conveying that the Sabbath (seventh day) is holy. We are sanctified by Sabbath; God is the God that sanctifies us. Sabbath is holy ground just as was the ground on which Moses stood in the presence of God, and the bush burned but was not consumed. If God’s presence was not there, the ground wouldn’t be holy, the bush would have burned up, and been consumed by the fire. Sabbath, the seventh day would not be holy if God’s presence was not filled up in it.

Sabbath from even to even is holy time, God dwelling among us.

In Genesis, the second chapter, God instituted the Sabbath (seventh day): He blessed it and sanctified it just as He blessed and sanctified marriage. God blessed and sanctified no other day. In the beginning, Christ in His life lived in earth—after His death, after His resurrection, now, in the future: He has never changed, will never change His holy day from the seventh day to the first day; nor from the seventh day to the fifth day nor from the seventh day to the sixth day, nor any other of the work days in the week.

From the very beginning, God longed to dwell with, in His created beings. He wanted His law written in the heart (mind) of His people: Then, We can be one. We can be intimately connected to our Creator, our Redeemer, our Deliverer.

Sabbath is not just a day of time spent at church (the structure) to pray, sing, give testimonies, hear or listen to a sermon, and go eat; or go home and sleep. It is not a time to just fellowship—eating and drinking, and talking about any and everything. But, Sabbath is holy ground. Within Sabbath, is the very holy presence of God. God’s holy existence is in Sabbath—in the Sabbath (seventh) day.

We are made holy by God’s presence in us. His mind in us through the indwelling of His Holy Spirit if we seek, knock, and ask Him for His Spirit.

The rest we enter into if we believe is holy rest in our Lord God: The very holy presence of God (Repetition deepens the impression).

They who do not believe cannot enter into His holy day of rest—His holy presence. He cannot dwell in darkness, nor in disobedience, nor in chaos, nor disorder, nor unfaithfulness. He will not dwell in a dark, unholy temple.

Sabbath—the means by which God dwells among us, in our presence. God is holy. we who are His are to be holy. He makes us holy.

Sabbath, God’s law written in our heart (mind). The holy commandment that links all the holy commandments of God into one great commandment: “Love God with all thine heart, with all thy soul, with all thy might.” Then, we shall have respect unto His commandments. We shall know the One and only True God: Creator and Redeemer —The God of salvation.

Sabbath is all about God, His love, us having His love. Then, we believe. Then, we walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. Then, we are over-comers. Then we live by faith. God’s love: His character perfected in us by our faith, and through the working of the Holy Spirit.

Who can beat God’s giving? No one, absolutely no one.
