When we realize what Sabbath truly is, we will see why God requires our acknowledgment of, our attention to give up our existence to Him.
If Sabbath had been loved, cherished, protected, honored, regarded, handled with care, kept holy: There would be no sin.
Sabbath is the very holy presence of God. Sabbath is Yehovah filling us, our habitation up with Himself—His very existence, love, character: Complete holiness.
When we truly understand this deep Treasure, this great gift of God, Sabbath; We will receive Him: His love, His character, holiness: God dwelling in us and not just among or with us; but, God seeks to dwell in us. Yah written in our heart (mind). Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. The Word.
The seventh day God blessed, sanctified (set aside holy, for holy use). Sabbath in every language is seventh. In Sabbath, is the fullness of God: His complete holiness: The holy presence of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
Darkness has to flee from the presence of light. In the beginning, after Adam sinned; God called out to Adam. God was right there, never left—but Adam chose to leave the holiness of God in his choice. God allowed his choice. This is not God’s approval, but is simply God allowing one to exercise the freedom of choice that He created in us. We each have a choice whether to obey God and worship Him, keep holy His Sabbath the seventh day, or not. Period. He allows our choice to be separated. Period.
Adam had before been filled with the very holiness of God—daily God communed with, spent time with, and dwelled in Adam by Adam’s faith to abide in God. Adam was clothed with the very glory of God. But, when Adam chose not to obey God, he separated himself from God. God calling out to Adam is to speak of how God looks for us, seeks us.
God is holy: He is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Holiness and sin; light and darkness cannot coexist. One has to leave—exit the premises (the dwelling). God is a consuming fire—if no holiness, all would be consumed. If God was to remain in the sin sick soul, the soul would not, could not live. God’s holy fire would consume them. So God, in His mercy, allows the soul their choice and the consequences. Those consequences should bring the soul to their senses, but, sometimes not.
Sabbath is holy—the same as the glory of God that clothed Adam. But, when one chooses not to keep Sabbath, they take off the glory of God that covered them, the Sabbath that sanctifies them. The soul stands naked and ashamed and many times doesn’t even realize it until it is too late.
Sabbath is the memorial of creation, puts our focus on God our Creator, and points to redemption: Redemption is unto being restored to the image of and likeness of God.
Sabbath: The holy presence/existence of God—He chose to put His complete holiness in the seventh (Sabbath) day— in this holy time period, this day filled with the very holy existence of God dwelling in us that throughout the six days we live Isiah 58, fulfilling all the law, the word of God. He makes us holy all six days that we may stand in holiness in His holy presence the seventh day (Sabbath). We live unto all around us testifying of God, being His witnesses. God sanctifies us (makes us holy, makes us the head).
Keeping Sabbath holy is reflective of our lifestyle lived during the prior six working days. Keeping Sabbath holy is reflective of our relationship, our connection to God. We can do nothing without Him. We can do all things through Him.
When the seventh day is ushered in at the first even we bow before Him; we dine with Him. The second even is the Sabbath ending—the night approaching veiling His holy presence—God’s holiness passing by as it were as when Moses asked God to show him His glory. (God’s presence is in His righteous, His saints). God had to veil Moses as it were in the cleft of the rock as He passed by proclaiming His name—His character! Come on! God told him no one can see His face and live!!! All honor praise and glory to Elohim! All praise, honor and glory to Almighty Yah!
Just as when Moses went to the mountain where the bush was burning, but not consumed, and God told him to remove his shoes from off his feet because the ground on which he stood was holy; so the same is Sabbath: Holy ground. Let us choose by faith, keep our foot from it. Let us choose by faith to keep Sabbath holy—not only observe, but protect, cherish, hold dear, guard it, handle with care.
The sabbath is not, nor can it be both the seventh day and the first day of the week. Impossible. The Sabbath is not the first day of the week (sunday). The only Sabbath that God instituted, blessed, sanctified is the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Period.
The Lord’s day the seventh day (Sabbath) is a delight, a blessing to all they that trust, love Him. The Sabbath is so deep, we will forever be learning of the Most High and all pertaining to Him.
(Genesis 2:2,3; Reiterated in God’s law of love, liberty: The Ten Commandment law: Summed up in God’s agape: Love for God, Love for mankind. Exodus 16:29; Exodus 20; 1John 2; 1John5:2; Matthew 22:40; Matthew 12:8; Mark 2:27, 28; Hebrews 4).
