The Jew and Gentile: Circumcision

The Jew outwardly circumcised (physically circumcised) who is not inwardly circumcised (circumcised of the heart): These are judged as the uncircumcised Gentile living in sin.

The Jews are judged according to truth

“Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;” Romans 2:1-5 KJV

Jews are judged by their works

Who will render to every man according to his deeds: to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:” Romans 2:6-10 KJV

Jews are judged with impartiality

“For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” Romans 2:11-16 KJV

Jews (The professed people of God) that do not obey the law. These are outwardly circumcised—physically circumcised; but, their heart (inwardly) they are uncircumcised. These do not live by faith. They live according to their flesh. In their heart (mind) is sin.

“Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?” Romans 2:17-23 KJV

Sin against the Holy Ghost (The Holy Spirit)

“For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.” Romans 2:24 KJV

The physical circumcision of a person professing God with their lips but denying Him in their living is as if they are uncircumcised. They teach truth, teach the law of God, know His Law; but, at the same time break the law themselves, choosing to live in flesh, making their own laws, living according to their traditions, rejecting truth, disobeying God—they are as the Gentile who is neither spiritually nor physically circumcised, living in darkness, lost: Both the Jew and Gentile God is seeking to give His gift of repentance, that their sins be blotted out, and that they be born again.

The Gentile who is uncircumcised (their physical flesh not cut away) but, by faith by the Spirit of God is obedient to the law of God—they are inwardly circumcised—they have by faith cut off sin, by faith chose not to sin against God. They have by faith chose to love God, believing on Jesus by faith they obey the law. These are not Jews outwardly (not born in the flesh a Jew); but, now these are inwardly Jews having by faith chose to live by faith by the Spirit of God in them. These are spiritual Jews. They are now God’s people, God’s children—God’s righteous, Saints of God.

The Jews born in the flesh Jews—these break the law living in the flesh and not by faith in the Spirit. These being physically circumcised (the physical flesh cut away) are not spiritually circumcised (they do not choose to live by faith, they do not have the Spirit of God in them. They are as the Gentile that is in darkness, having no light, choosing to remain in sin.

“For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2‬:‭25-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised; Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬-‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬
