Are you stuck holding on to your past? Are you stuck in a ditch, in the dark?
If we are stuck, it is because we are holding on to the past making it our present while trying to move forward. It is impossible to move forward without God, and while holding on to the past life in which we have cherished many sins.
God made a distinction between light and darkness; the firmament of heaven and earth; between the waters and the earth; between male and female; between human and beast; between the animals in the field and they living in the sea; between the clean and the unclean; the holy and profane; between righteousness and unrighteousness; the godly and the ungodly; between the just and the unjust. God made a distinction between His way (His law)—His commandments and the commandments of men.
Sin is to be called by its right name. Sin is not to be made light of, nor to laugh at, nor to wink at; nor is it to be ignored, nor shoved under a rug. Sin is darkness, sin is in the ditch.
Choose to let God loose you from being stuck.
The new creature is not married to the old man. The old man is dead. The new creature is married to Christ.
Choose to leave darkness alone. Choose to remain in the light so you can see, and not fall into the ditch. Choose to be, and to remain children of the Day.
