There is danger diving for treasure in shallow waters. The water is not deep enough. No treasure is laying around on the surface to be seen. If we seek to live by the word on the surface; we have no anchor that will hold us, keep us from being swept away with every wind of doctrine. We will be deceived. We will not truly have the counsel of the multitude of counselors: The law, the whole word of God. We must dig deep for treasure. God’s treasure is hidden.
There is an end of perfection; but God’s commandments are deep and broad.
God opens unto us understanding. So it is we may have the intellectual knowledge without having understanding of the knowledge. But, when God opens our eyes and we behold wondrous things out of His law; We shall have understanding in all things.
Let us seek God early while He may be found. Let us dig deep for His treasures. With all our getting, let get understanding. Then, our anchor shall hold.
