[21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
How do we keep ourselves in the love of God?
Jude 1:20-25 KJV
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, [21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. [22] And of some have compassion, making a difference: [23] And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. [24] Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, [25] To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
By faith, we daily die to self: Surrender our will to God’s will. We by faith give up ourselves, everything to God. By faith, examine self daily by the Word of God—His will. By faith, live by every word of God. By faith, work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Trust God. Pray always in the Spirit, pray His Word back to Him—His word will not return to Him void. By faith, wait on the Lord. Live in expectancy of His return— Christ second coming. God has already laid every thing out. All we have to do is by faith choose to love Him, by faith choose to keep His commandments, by faith choose to trust Him, obey Him. He does the work.
By faith, choose life and not death; blessings and not curses. God only wants us to have life, life eternal, live with Him eternally. He loves us, seeks to deliver us from sin, from the power of sin. We just need to choose Christ. He will do the work in us. Let us just seek to know Him, love Him for He first loved us. Choose daily to give up everything to God, give Him consent to work His word—His will in us, in our lives, through us in delivery others.
