Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Are our thoughts, things we watch, and listen to, and our communication in harmony with God’s word? If we be God’s, they are to be. We should purpose to set no wicked thing before our eyes… We are to be guarding the avenues of our souls.
Is it that our struggles with obedience are because we are holding on to that which gives Satan and his demons entrance/permission into our minds, bodies, and into our lives—to work in us and through us their will instead of us allowing God to work His will in us, and for us, and through us?
We live in a spiritual world. We fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Think again about that seemingly innocent program, or sitcom, or movie, or book, social media, sport/team/athlete/celebrity that you watch, read, and participate; that conversation in which you allow in your hearing gossip, lies, anger, profanity, the past in which satan was glorified and that which you allow your lips to fix themselves to speak. Take another look at the competition that you are a fan of and say “oh it’s just a game”, “my team”, “it’s just this or that”, Really?
God is clear about how His children are to live—if we be His. God’s ways are distinctly different than the way of the world. Maybe you think it doesn’t matter? Stop thinking and know what God says; stop thinking and know, and know what He says. Stop thinking and know God. Search His word, and know Him.
We by faith choose to live God’s Word, His will—not to be saved; but we live unto God by His every word because we are saved. We are His redeemed. God restores His people His children unto His image. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. There is no sin in God. There is to be no sin in His redeemed else the redeemed are not redeemed.
Stop thinking and know God. Thinking will cause you to be on sinking ground and not even know it until you are too deep in, no help for the time is come, it’s too late to do anything—time is finished.
Be not deceived. Repent and be converted.
