A day of abundant mercy

Do you know when the day of mercy is, in much abundance? Hint: The Lord’s Day:

Matthew 12:7-8 KJV
But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Exodus 20:8-11 KJV Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exodus 16:23 KJV And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Deuteronomy 5:12-15 KJV
Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Luke 13:16 KJV
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

If you answered the seventh day, you are correct! It is The Sabbath (Saturday). This is the only day that God said He is Lord of and the only day that Christ, in the beginning at creation, blessed and sanctified it. No other day! The other days were not blessed, sanctified—set aside holy for holy use.

Let us who say we love God, really love Him and keep His Sabbath holy: If ye love me, keep my commandments.

God’s Sabbath (seventh day) is holy ground because it is the day He blessed and sanctified. We are to be mindful and careful of our surroundings. Let God ordain us His divine appointments, and we will not be where He has not prepared for us to be. Remember, the ground on which Moses stood God said was holy ground. He told Moses to remove the shoes off His feet! Why was the ground holy? Because of God’s presence dwelling there.

“And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Did you receive the promised blessing (Isaiah 58:14) to us that keep holy God’s Sabbath?

In keeping holy unto God His Sabbath (The seventh day—Saturday), we know we have His love in us for Him, for others, and for ourselves.

1 John 5:1-4 KJV
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Hebrews 4:7-11 KJV
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Let us apply in our keeping the Sabbath holy, Isaiah 58. Isaiah 58 is the lifestyle of the Redeemed of God, the saved of God throughout all the six days, that we have been believers, that we may enter into His rest on the seventh day—God’s holy day. We continue this lifestyle in His holiness but, not all crammed into His Sabbath because we don’t sacrifice the time, ourselves, because we don’t live being believers throughout the six days. We certainly are not to schedule to do on Sabbath that which could have been taken care of beforehand; we do not wait to just do all on the Sabbath. But, it is that God orders our steps, He leads us in the way. We surrender to God, are willing, and available to pour out His love, mercy to all who will receive healing. We are ready, willing, available to go, to do whatever He bids us to do for the dying world around us. Let God give us His divine appointments in His holy Sabbath.

Remember, we prepare spiritually and physically for the Sabbath throughout all the six days. The final day for preparation of the Sabbath is the sixth day (Friday). On Sabbath, we come together having the same love, being of one mind worshiping the Lord God in spirit and in truth.

Philippians 2:1-2 KJV
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

1 John 1:5-7 KJV
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Christ mostly healed on His sabbath. The people came unto Him to be healed, to be healed and made whole—healed from demon possession, healed from all manner of disease and sickness. Christ was not going to turn them away! No, absolutely not! Christ went out on Sabbath teaching, preaching. He went out walking and talking teaching. Christ went out! Christ did not go where His presence could not be received. Christ doing good on His holy seventh day is keeping His Sabbath holy according to the commandment, giving life to others via the Word of God, acts of mercy as noted in Isaiah 58, relieving pain and suffering, teaching and preaching God’s word in words spoken and in the life lived, saving a life literally spiritually and physically. These are good works we are to do and these are in harmony, the fruit of God’s love in our hearts.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 KJV
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
