The Holy Sabbath

Today if you hear His voice, harden not your heart.

The seventh-day is the Sabbath; the Sabbath is the Lord’s day (Read Exodus 20:10; Exodus 31:13,15; Leviticus 23:3; Deuteronomy 5:14; Matthew 12:8; Mark 2:28; Luke 6:5).

Sunday is the first-day of the week:

Matthew 28:1-2 KJV
[1] In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. [2] And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Mark 16:1-2 KJV
[1] And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. [2] And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

Christ is risen:

Matthew 28:3-6 KJV
[3] His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: [4] And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. [5] And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. [6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Mark 16:5-6 KJV
[5] And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. [6] And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: d Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

Jesus, I Am…

I Am is He who delivered His people from bondage, opened up the Red Sea. I Am is He who wrote His Ten Commandments on both sides of two tables of stone with His own finger. I Am is He who spoke His law of love, His law of liberty from Mount Sinai. I Am is Jesus. Hear the Lord John 8:58: “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am”. Exodus 3:14, And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Hearken unto the voice of God:

Hebrews 4:1-16 KJV
[1] Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. [2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. [3] For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [4] For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. [5] And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. [6] Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

[7] Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. [8] For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. [9] There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. [10] For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. [14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Today, there remains the day of rest that Jesus blessed, Sanctified holy; and as it was His custom He rested in His Sabbath weekly from His work; I Am (Jesus) rested in the grave through His Sabbath for He ended His work literally in earth; and rose the first day of the week. Now, you have a choice to make: Will you believe on the name of Jesus, and believe He is the Son of God; hear Him and do His word, keep His commandments, keep His Sabbath holy; obey Him keeping the commandments of God; or, Will you choose to obey man?

Your answer is unto God, not me.
