Genesis 1:29-30 KJV
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Genesis 2:16-17 KJV
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
The first man and woman (Adam and Eve) was created by God in God’s own image: Male and female created He them.
God first, before creating man, created their habitation: Where they would live, and what they would eat. God even created food for the beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, He gave every green herb.
No knowledge of man is above his Creator—God. Man’s science must match up to God’s science. Not the other way around.
After sin, every thing changed. Death began in man and in beast, fowl, creeping thing, in everything wherein was life.
After sin, there came cool and cold air, leaves on trees turn from green to yellow to orange, to red then brown and fall off to the ground. The flowers withering and dying in the cool and cold, to some flowers appeary thorns. The green herb also turning brown in the cold and dying. Adam and Eve were still standing but even they showed signs of death: They were no longer covered with the glory of God.
But after sin, the diet (what man would eat stayed the same except the green herb of field was added).
The eating of the dead flesh of animals came after the flood: A provision for a season in God’s permissive will, not His perfect will.
The provision was for a season, for a time until vegetation (including fruits, nuts, grains) grew in abundance to be harvested and eaten. The provision was not for sustaining and maintaining health and life.
Because the wickedness of mankind, the flood came. They were eating the flesh of dead animals, committing fornication, adultery, sodomy, amalgamation: combining two or more of God’s created with another living thing or seed that was not to be joined together, resulting in evil, deformity, lunatic, dumb, blindness, etc: Man with man, woman with woman, mankind with beast, etc… all an abomination to God. God saw man was evil, wicked continually.
In the plan of salvation, God is working in us restoring us unto His image (As Adam and Eve before they sinned). Before sin—before disobedience to God, there was no consumption of the flesh of dead animals. If man had not sinned, they would have lived eternally in the garden covered with the glory of God eating from the trees in the garden except that of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Man was not ever to have that knowledge.
But God having foreknowledge, made provision and the plan of salvation was in place before the foundation of the world.
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
A provision is not to be continued. It is for a limited time, a limited season… When the blessed healing comes, there is no longer the provision.
Those not having God’s knowledge, understanding clothe themselves with aprons: self-righteousness. But they who die to self, surrender self-will to the will of God, and are covered with Christ righteousness that we live in His perfect will unto eternal life.
Choose life today, right now. By faith, God’s grace, choose to live in God’s perfect will.
