Arise!
It is the seventh day of the week—the holy Sabbath day of rest. It is the rest ordained of God. It is the sign between God and His people that He is the LORD God and the One who sanctifies them (Ezekiel 20:12, 20). Although now commonly known as Saturday, the prime day of recreation and personal pleasure, it is not common. It is holy. God blessed it. He sanctified it. He made it holy. (Read Genesis 2:1-3.)
He commands all the world to remember to keep His day holy: the seventh day, the Sabbath day. It is the Lord’s day. It is lawful on this day to participate in what brings healing and directs the mind heavenward.
In reverence to Him who created the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, bow down and worship Him in spirit and in truth. According to His pleasure, serve Him in sincerity and in truth. Glorify Him in all we eat, drink, and in all that we do. Amen.
Arise.
