Prayer and the Word are our weapons. Though we do not fight, we choose by faith to be armed. God does the rest, as long as we have on the whole armor of God.
There may be many that rise up against us. For some reason, they think no one repeats what they said, nor tells what they did. To really think no one saw nor heard and that no one would repeat it is ridiculous. No. It’s ludicrous. But see, we do not lift a finger, nor a thought against them, we just pray for them. We ask God to forgive them; for they know not what they do.
We pray for their salvation. We pray that they repent and be converted. If they will not turn away from their error, from their wickedness, from their lies, still we stand true to our faith in God. Our trust is in the Lord God. We know that He is faithful, that He fights for us.
It is done. No one can beat, nor outdo God. He is God. We just live the love of God, no matter what is said or done against us, and no matter who it is. We must remember that what they speak and do against us, they really do against God. God sees and knows their works.
Our weapons are God’s Word. We pray His Word back to Him. God will do the rest through the Holy Ghost.
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14).
Deuteronomy 20:3-4 KJV
[3] And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; [4] For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
Deuteronomy 28:7 KJV
The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
Psalm 1:4-6 KJV
[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. [5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. [6] For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Isaiah 54:17 KJV
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 47:8-15 KJV
[8] Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: [9] But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. [10] For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. [11] Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. [12] Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. [13] Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. [14] Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. [15] Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
Isaiah 41:8-14 KJV
[8] But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. [9] Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. [10] Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. [11] Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. [12] Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. [13] For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. [14] Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Matthew 18:6-7 KJV
[6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. [7] Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
These promises are not to everyone that quotes His Word; nor are they unto everyone that is professing to be His.
Know this: God’s promises are conditional. Period.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 KJV
[1] And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: [2] And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Deut. 28:15, read through to the end of chapter 28.
Do not yield to Satan in a back and forth. Don’t even allow your face to show you are being bothered. Neither allow your tongue to speak that which shames God, nor allow the hand to touch someone shaming God. We have self-control—if self is dead—if we be sure to die daily and keep our eyes on Christ in His Word and in prayer.
