Hate evil, and love…

When we truly know God, we will love His law: The Ten Commandments, the law of liberty.

In the person of His only Son, Jesus Christ, God’s love was literally nailed to the cross.

God’s love—His character—is His Ten Commandments. Christ speaks the Word of His Father, “If you love me, keep my commandments, and they are not grievous.”

The test of true love for God and others is 1 John 5:2. Read verse 3 also.

The love of God—true charity—is described by His commandments. They deeply touch every aspect of the life. His commandments are deep and broad.

1 John 3:11-12 KJV
[11] For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. [12] Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

2 John 1:5-6 KJV
[5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. [6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Matthew 22:37-40 KJV
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Isaiah 8:20 KJV To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

1 John 2:7-10 KJV
[7] Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. [8] Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. [9] He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. [10] He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

2 John 1:9-11 KJV
[9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. [10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: [11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

John 3:19-21 KJV
[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

For anyone to say that the Ten Commandments is done away with is to promote or teach the doctrine of devils. It is an attempt to do away with God and His love. It is rejecting God, Light, Truth, Christ righteousness, God’s Love.

God tells us we are to have no fellowship with evil. We are not to sit down with those who do not want to receive the love of God. Pray. Pray. Pray. Praying for them is loving them.
