It matters to God what we put in or on His Temple.
It is a salvation issue!
The Spirit of God will have no part with willful idolatry or fornication. Idolatry is sin. So is fornication. And it is not just “worshiping” jewels or images: bowing down to them.
It is also the wearing of ornaments: jewelry, colorful cosmetics, and extravagant or revealing adornment. Idolatry is not of God, but is of Satan’s character. Throughout the Holy Scriptures it is noted that God is not pleased, and the people were told to take them off.
Defiling the Temple of God, which includes fornication, is about the state of mind in all our choices. It is in what we do, what we eat, and what we drink: our living the gospel. In all we live, we are worshipping God or Satan. Period. Defiling the Temple of God is that which is the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh; the pride of life: these characteristics are of the world and not of the Father in heaven.
The meat of the book reveals the true meaning of the cover of the book, revealing the heart (mind) of the writer. Our outward adorning reveals the meat we eat, the state of heart, the condition of the mind. It is not “judging” to expose sin. God calls His to call out sin, and that we be not deceived. Period. If we behold God daily in His word, things start changing if we are becoming changed by the Word through the Holy Ghost. We see things start coming off, more put on; and we, by faith, stop eating and drinking to please self; we start to eat and drink to the glory of God. We start dressing, and in all our living, to the glory of God. By faith we please God. Self is dead.
1 John 2:15-16 KJV
[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Galatians 5:19-21 KJV
[19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 3:16-19 KJV
[16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. [18] Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [19] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
Let that sink in.
