The law of God, the Ten Commandments: The law of liberty, the moral law. The law of liberty frees us from bondage to sin. Yet many submit to Satan, being blinded are deceived by Satan that the law of God is void. God wrote His law Himself on two tables of stone on both sides with His own finger. Be not deceived.
Israel- God’s people ( If we be God’s, we are Israel today, simply put: Israel are they who are God’s), would covenant with God saying they would do what He said; but over and over, they would backslide, disobeying God, not keeping His law. God’s law being in us, in our foreheads; God does this by our free-will of choice by faith. This was first spoken in the beginning not just for after Christ died and resurrected
Deuteronomy 6:6-9 KJV
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: [7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. [8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. [9] And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
When something is written in us, in our hearts, this is in our minds, for God communes with us in our minds in our brain- not our hearts in our chest. When God’s law, His word is in our minds (heart), we do it. What we believe, we do. When we walk in the light, in God’s ways: this is doing what He says. God’s word is in us and by His Power (grace), we choose to do by faith.
The old covenant was what the peoole entered into saying they will do… they did not surrender their will to the will of God by faith, choose by faith, knowing it is God that does the work of making us new creatures by our choice. We simply give up our will to His will. The Israel of old, as even today, say what they will do, what they will try and do, etc. This is that old covenant that they could never keep for it was based on man and their trying to do something they in their own power and might can never do.
The new covenant God makes it clear that if we but choose by faith to surrender our will to His, if we but die daily, choosing by faith to let God do His perfecting, converting work in us; we will walk in newness of life. We are thus choosing life, life eternal… He will do His part in us. He needs our permission because He created us with the freewill of choice, He will not, cannot override our choice. He cannot, will not do against His own word.
Hebrews 8:9-13 KJV
[9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. [10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [13] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. h Now that which decayeth i and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Hebrews 10:15-17 KJV
[15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; [17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
God will only not remember that which we have confessed, forsaken, that which we repent of that He convert us. He will not convert us if we are still holding on to sin no matter how minute. God says we must forsake sin. God says repent and be converted that our sins be blotted out. If the sins are still on record, they are brought before God. If we have confessed and forsaken, if we have repented and are converted, our sins are blotted out, and when our record is brought forth, all sin is blotted out of record.
Knowing Christ work as our High Priest being the One and Only, ONE-TIME Sacrifice for atonement for ALL sin; we see why God was so detailed in His holy scriptures so that we be not deceived. God has left nothing to wonder, or guess… but has told us all that we need to know. Period.
God’s law is the mirror which shows if sin is in us, and if the love in us is of God or not. If God be in us by our freewill choice by faith; We see sin and we run to God in prayer confessing, we repent, make restitution as far as possible. We want no part of sin… We ask, “What else Lord?”; we do not fight against truth and want to hold on to sin: for this is one living walking after the flesh and not in the Spirit of God. If anything be an abomination to God, anything contrary to His will; we choose by faith to turn away from it. God gives us both the will and to do His good pleasure.
The law frees us from bondage to sin. Period. The law is God’s character He perfects in us: writing His law in our hearts (minds). So a man think in his heart, so is he.
Jesus reiterated this in His word from His Father about a man lusting in his heart, being angry etc., is as if he physically did the act of adultery, or actually killed a person.
The love of God cannot be separated from His law for they are one and the same: ALL TEN COMMANDMENTS HANG ON LOVE.
2 Timothy 2:15-16 KJV
[15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. [16] But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. …
1 Timothy 4:12-13 KJV
[12] Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. [13] Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
2 Peter 1:10-11 KJV
[10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: [11] For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
John 14:15 KJV
[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:21 KJV He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest f myself to him.
John 15:9-10 KJV
