Proverbs 8:35-36 KJV
[35] For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord. [36] But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
Profound!!! So deep!!! So simple and clear and really is in a nutshell what we live either unto life eternal having God in us; or unto death eternal because we have not God in us.
The book of Proverbs is so powerful as is all the holy scriptures. Revelation after revelation!
It has always been and is about our state of heart (mind) the state of our minds. Do we love God, or do we love Satan. This is what the fruit shows: Who we love- God or Satan. Period.
The way we live our lives daily in all our perceiving, reasoning, learning, seeing, watching, listening, hearing, entertainment, recreation, labor- on the job, working, marriage, relationships, communications, eating, drinking, dressing- all our wearing, adorning… IN ALL OUR DOING: Our daily life choices; Are we loving (obeying) God or hating (disobeying) God? Are we loving sin which is loving Satan or are we hating sin hating Satan?
To be saved we must have the faith of Jesus:believe on Jesus: love of God. The faith of Jesus surrenders self 100% to God and hates sin and loves God. What we live does not save us, Christ dying the second death and resurrecting made way- made a pathway for us that IF we confess our sins to God and repent, it is as if we never sinned; and we go forward in the power of God through the Holy Spirit daily by faith choosing to die, giving up all to God letting Him govern us… seeking Him to order our steps in His word, and let not any iniquity have dominion over us. We choose daily to depart from evil.
The faith of Jesus is that hearing and doing the word (God’s will) which is that believing. When we believe, it is not just an intellectual knowledge for the devils believe in Jesus Christ and they know He is the son of God. When we believe, we do that which we believe for it is the exercising of having faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. We must have charity to truly have faith and believe. Let all that sink in.
Nothing or no one can defile us BUT our state of heart (mind) shows if we are defiled, if our fruit is rotten. Can dressing according to God save us? No, for we have salvation already for Christ mind is in us, His Spirit is in us causing us to live His ways because we accepted His salvation and He remains in us. BUT not dressing according to God can cause us to be lost because it is our state of mind (heart) that is being revealed- it is the reason why we are not dressing according to the will (word) of God. This example can be applied to every life circumstance and situation in our daily walk (life lived)- if we walk with God or if we walk with Satan. It is our CHOICE- a decision we must consciously make daily if we are serious about accepting and keeping God’s gift of salvation for it is His. He does not force His gift upon us. He gives us the freedom of choice.
The soul that has God’s gift of repentance lives daily by faith choosing to walk with God seeking God’s knowledge, wisdom and understanding. When they have these of God; they by God dwelling in them, walk with Him having His thoughts, thus living His ways because He is in them. They cannot sin because God is in them.
Genesis 5:22-24 KJV
[22] And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: [23] And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: [24] And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
The power of God! We cannot choose to sin and be of God. Light and darkness cannot dwell one in or with the other.
God will keep us from falling- the faith of Jesus that you know what God says is true and He shall perform it, it will come to pass. God said so, God said it- it will be. Period.
Jude 1:24-25 KJV
[24] Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, [25] To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
1 John 3:6-9 KJV
[6] Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. [7] Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. [8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. [9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. God is God! Speak LORD.
We either live daily being God’s witness that He is God; or we live our choice of death yielding to Satan denying God, rejecting God no matter what our lips say.
Are we, you seeking life? / Are we, you seeking death?
The answer is revealed in our walk.
